CIFAR Timeline
Since its founding in 1982, CIFAR has launched 19 research programs, and conducted many additional workshops and explorations. Often, when one program wound down, it led to the launch of another. Here is a timeline of the Institute's evolving research portfolio over its nearly three decades of operation.
