Getting there:
- Please make all your own travel arrangements and save your receipts for reimbursement. CIFAR covers economy airfare, and very much appreciates your booking ahead. The route you take is up to you.
- Please take the airporter shuttle bus between the airport and downtown if possible, as the two are quite distant from each other. You may take a taxi if necessary, but try to team up with someone else from the meeting.
- It takes about 45 minutes to reach the hotel, longer during rush hour.
Accommodation details:
- Your room will be booked for you after you fill in the registration form on this site, if you register before the deadline. ROOMS CANNOT BE GUARANTEED IF YOU REGISTER AFTER OCTOBER 8.
- Please take care to click on the correct dates on your registration form for check-in and check-out.
- Your hotel room will be covered under a master account, but you'll be responsible for any incidental charges (movies, mini-bar, phone calls, etc). Internet access will be reimbursed if you save your receipt. You'll be asked to provide a credit card upon check-in to which incidentals and internet may be charged if necessary.
- Please note that CIFAR will cover the cost of your room for the nights of November 13-15 inclusive. Exceptions will be made for those travelling to and from Europe or other international destinations, if required.
- If you would like extra nights, please be advised that these will be at your own expense, unless you are arriving early or departing late in order to engage in CIFAR related research/business.
Meals:
- Breakfast, Lunch, and Breaks will be provided throughout the meeting, as will the wine & cheese during the poster session.
- Please save your receipts for dinners, and note the per diem amount for dinner listed in the CIFAR travel policy is $35 per head.
Reimbursement for Travel Expenses:
- Please consult the expense form and travel policy on this site for more details and download the document to send in with your receipts (scroll back up to upper right-hand menu).
- Allow 4-6 weeks for processing your expense claim.
- Contact Jenna Scott (jscott@ciar.ca) with any questions regarding expense claims.
