Scott Aaronson (Associate) is an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).  He is also affiliated with MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL).  Scott Aaronson received his B.Sc. from Cornell University in 2000 and his Ph.D. in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2004.  He has been a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton (2004-2005) and most recently at the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo (2005-2007). 

His research interests include the limitations of quantum computers, and computational complexity theory more generally.  He is also interested in the foundations of quantum mechanics, and bounded rationality.
