About

Astronomer Joseph Silk is interested in theoretical cosmology, where he seeks insights about dark matter, galaxy formation and the cosmic microwave background (CMB).

With his research group, he pioneered predictions of the temperature fluctuations in the CMB, and has made important contributions to the study of possible signatures for dark matter detection.
