Pamela is Senior Director, Research and Global Academy at CIFAR. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with researchers and cross-sector stakeholders to support research and innovation.
Formerly with Grand Challenges Canada as a Senior Program Officer, she pioneered and led the non-communicable disease portfolio focused on improving mental health in developing countries. She also worked at the Ontario Centres of Excellence as a Program Manager leading high-profile industry-academic collaboration programs. Prior to this role, she was a Senior Consultant with a health and life sciences consulting firm where she worked with clients from academia, industry, government and not-for-profits in Canada and abroad to support research and innovation globally. Pamela holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Toronto, where she identified novel mechanisms required to maintain genome integrity, and a BSc in Biochemistry from McMaster University.
