About

Yoshua Bengio works in computer science, specifically artificial intelligence (machine learning).

He is the founder and director of the Institut des algorithmes d’apprentissage de Montréal at Université de Montréal. His current interests include fundamental questions on deep learning, the geometry of generalization in high-dimensional spaces, biologically inspired learning algorithms, and challenging applications of statistical machine learning in artificial intelligence tasks.
