About the Event

How to Make Societies More Inclusive

Join Harvard University’s Michèle Lamont at CIFAR’s Annual Fall Dinner as she discusses the connection between recent growth in economic inequality and the increased stigmatization of marginalized groups, and what we need to do to create a more inclusive society.

Dr. Lamont is the Director of the CIFAR Successful Societies program, and the Robert I. Goldman Professor of European Studies, and Professor of Sociology and African and African American Studies, at Harvard University. She is the winner of the 2017 Erasmus Prize.

The dinner and talk are in honour of CIFAR Distinguished Fellows George Akerlof, winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics, and John Helliwell, editor of the World Happiness Report.
