Join us for the 3rd annual CIFAR Massey Talk featuring CIFAR Senior Fellow Joelle Pineau, co-director of McGill University’s Reasoning and Learning Lab. Dr. Pineau will discuss how artificial intelligence is poised to change almost every aspect of our lives, from medical treatments to assistive robots to driverless cars, and how Canadian researchers are leading the revolution.

Dr. Pineau is a Senior Fellow in CIFAR’s Learning in Machines & Brains program, and is an associate professor of computer science and William Dawson Scholar at McGill. Her research focuses on developing new models and algorithms for planning and learning and applying them to complex problems in robotics, health care, games and conversational agents. One of her projects is the SmartWheeler robotic wheelchair.

The lecture will be followed by a panel discussion led by Junior Fellows of Massey College.
