The Future of VR: Neuroscience and Biosensor Driven Development

Game Developers Conference

Mar 22 / 18

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

San Francisco, CA
United States

Imagine shaping VR/AR experiences with your body, eyes, and even mind. Imagine improving your health and advancing neuroscience while you do it. Integrating brain research with VR holds the key to this vision.

This panel brings visionary perspectives from science and game development to explore how brain research and biosensors like EEG and eye/motion tracking advance compelling VR. Join computer scientist Alona Fyshe and cognitive neuroscientist Craig Chapman – both CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars and members of CIFAR’s Azrieli program in Brain, Mind & Consciousness – as well as neurogaming expert Jake Stauch and podcast host Kent Bye to learn how researchers are moving from the lab into "the wild" of our homes and explore the implications for VR, neuroscience, and health.

Attendees will leave this session with a better understanding of how neuroscience will create better VR experiences and how VR is helping scientists understand the brain and developers make games with real-world benefit.
