Daron Acemoglu Economist

Daron Acemoglu’s interests lie in income and wage inequality; human capital and training; economic growth; technical change; search theory; and political economy. His current research concerns the political economy of development, institutional development, and technical change.


Elected Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the Econometric Society, 2006.

Turkish-American Scientists and Scholars Association's Turkish Science Award, 2006.

John Bates Clark Medal from the American Economic Association, 2005.
