Patrick Le Galès
Patrick Le Galès’ comparative research has three main components:
– Public policy, sociology of the state government and governance, instruments and instruments of public action, policy networks, and state restructuring in European states and territories: decentralization policies, urban policies, regional policies, and governance of the world’s major cities (Paris, London, Mexico City, Sao Paolo, Istanbul)
– Urban Sociology: mobility and social change, transformation of European cities, social groups in cities (middle-class and upper-class mobility), segregation, integration dynamics and formation of social and political order, and urban conflicts
– Economic sociology and political economy: regional and local economies and the formation of a market society, particularly in the UK, sociology of Europe
